Eric Jensen – Drums / Backup Vocals
Eric started playing drums at the age of 10. He played in the school concert & marching bands from 5th grade until his senior year in high school, when he dedicated himself to rock & roll. Since then he has played in many original, cover, & tribute bands. Over the past 15 years he has also played the part of Ringo in several Beatles tribute bands. Eric has also put out an album of his own music, “with a little (lot) of help from his friends”, including Fletch of Invisible Sun providing vocals & guitar. He has also played at the legendary Surf Ballroom, in Clear Lake, Iowa, at the annual Winter Dance Party Festival in 2018. Eric’s love of the Police music, Stuart Copeland’s drumming, & playing with Fletch & John, make this endeavor challenging & also very rewarding.
John Nawodylo – Guitar / Backup Vocals
John was dragged to a folk guitar class when he was about 10 and thought he hated it! But a few years later (circa 1983-84) he absolutely fell in love with music… especially after witnessing a high school band jam out the likes of The Police & early U2 during school assemblies. John was inspired to pick up the guitar again and he never turned back! By the 90’s he was cutting his teeth on the Chicago local music scene playing in such original bands as Curmudgeon, Headcrash, & Tokyo Expando. He took a break in the early 2000’s (between family and career obligations), but came back to music full throttle by 2009. He was completely blown away to one day find a local ad that Fletch had placed for a guitarist wanted for Invisible Sun. So he started jamming with Eric & Fletch and it immediately clicked (& the rest is history)! John also currently plays in local punk rock outfit The GMO’s as well as releases original music via his recording project called A Fraction Of A Dot. He takes huge influence as a guitarist from the likes of Andy Summers, Mick Ronson, Bob Stinson, & Joe Strummer. His great love of The Police is what brings him to the fold of this Tribute Band!
Fletch – Bass / Lead Vocals
Fletch is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, drums, keys, sax, violin, vocals) who began playing guitar at the tender age of 11 after stealing his older brother’s guitar. Living in the South, he turned to music and guitar as an escape and as a promise of something better. Two years of guitar lessons later, he started his first band with his childhood friends. At the age of 16, with his high school band (Maiden Voyage), warmed up for Cheap Trick at Music Fest in Memphis to a crowd of over 3500.
Since moving to Chicago Fletch has fronted (singing and guitar) Mass Confusion, REPO and various other hard/alternative rock bands playing music by ACDC, Audioslave, Motown, Nirvana, Rage, Sublime, STP, RHCP, Queen, Zeppelin, etc. In 2007 he with fellow bandmate, Eric, started the first incarnation of Invisible Sun with Trey and played mostly festivals for a few years. Since that time Fletch has played the character of “John Frusciante” for two different Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute bands (Californication and Salt –n-Peppers), as well as the Edge for the band U2 Station.
“I am so excited to have this band with Eric and John. I’ve known Eric longer than I’d like to admit, but there is no other drummer I know who fits the bill. John is a phenomenal player and adds that extra grit and excitement. As a three-piece everything has to ‘click’ and with this group, we are truly stellar.”
